Data Collection & Research Specialist, Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research to gather relevant data from various sources, including online databases, industry reports, and academic journals.
- Accurately input and organize collected data into Excel spreadsheets, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
- Verify the accuracy and credibility of data sources to maintain high-quality standards in the information provided.
- Identify and summarize key trends and insights from the collected data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide data-driven insights and support decision-making processes.
- Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and visualizations of data findings for key stakeholders.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in data collection and analysis methodologies.
- Support ad hoc research projects and initiatives across portfolio companies as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in data collection, research, or a related role.
- Experience in the venture capital or finance industry is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis tools.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools is a plus.
- Strong ability to conduct detailed and comprehensive research using various sources.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and verification.
- Ability to identify trends and insights from data and present them in a clear and concise manner.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
