Position:

 

Archetype SC, Inc. is seeking a, Associate Cybersecurity Consultant with 4+ years of professional experience supporting security and/ or network infrastructure and applications to join our team. You will have the opportunity to work in enterprise environments managing firewalls and other security related technologies. Technologies to be worked with may include firewalls, VPN, endpoint security, proxies, IDS/IPS, SIEMs, etc.

 

You will be an integral member of our team and will mentor and grow junior team members.  You have a passion for technology, high attention to detail, and competency in critical thinking and problem solving.  You act with integrity and can be trusted with sensitive client information.

 

The position is located in our Myrtle Beach, SC office (who doesn’t love the beach?) and primarily responsible for participating in security engagements acting as a senior technical resource on their project.

 

Job Duties:

 

  • Respond to incidents and requests from multiple ticketing systems for variety of products
  • Provide support to end users, both technical and non-technical
  • Extensive experience with various security technologies, including web security, End Point, and Cloud Security
  • Utilize management and monitoring tools as necessary to facilitate troubleshooting and implementation processes
  • Proactively identify and troubleshoot security infrastructure
  • Lead customer calls
  • Lead projects with minimal supervision
  • Support system security design and architecture decisions
  • Contribute to documentation, participate in internal knowledge sharing sessions, and thoroughly log all work performed
  • Provide excellent written communication, including reports, incident reports, emails, and other required documentation
  • Mentor junior and associate team members
  • Other tasks as assigned
  • Minimal overnight travel is expected

 

 You have the following competencies:

  • 4+ years professional experience with Enterprise Network environments
  • Thorough understanding of cybersecurity principles, concepts, and best practices
  • Industry certifications (combination of at least two of the following CEH, Network+, Security+, CCNA, or similar)
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Willingness to take part in potential 24x7 on-call rotation in addition to a standard 8AM-5PM shift
  • Experience using network management and monitoring tools
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS (specifically security tools)
  • Familiarity with IAM, including Active Directory, MFA, and other associated technologies
  • Excellent oral communication skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Consulting experience
  • Education: A successful Security Engineer will have a 2- or 4-year degree in computer science or related field of study; or equivalent experience in the field.
