Job Summary

The Senior Cybersecurity Consultant will be responsible for participating in security engagements, acting as a senior technical resource on projects, and providing support to end users. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of professional experience with enterprise network environments, a thorough understanding of cybersecurity principles, and industry certifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to incidents and requests from multiple ticketing systems for various products
  • Provide support to end users, both technical and non-technical
  • Extensive experience with various security technologies, including web security, End Point, and Cloud Security
  • Utilize management and monitoring tools as necessary to facilitate troubleshooting and implementation processes
  • Proactively identify and troubleshoot security infrastructure
  • Lead customer calls
  • Lead projects with minimal supervision
  • Support system security design and architecture decisions
  • Contribute to documentation, participate in internal knowledge sharing sessions, and thoroughly log all work performed
  • Provide excellent written communication, including reports, incident reports, emails, and other required documentation
  • Mentor junior and associate team members
  • Other tasks as assigned
Requirements
  • 8+ years professional experience with Enterprise Network environments
  • Thorough understanding of cybersecurity principles, concepts, and best practices
  • Industry certifications (combination of at least two of the following CISSP, CISM, CEH, Network+, Security+, CCNA, or similar)
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Willingness to take part in potential 24x7 on-call rotation in addition to a standard 8AM-5PM shift
  • Experience using network management and monitoring tools
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS (specifically security tools)
  • Familiarity with IAM, including Active Directory, MFA, and other associated technologies
  • Excellent oral communication skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Consulting experience
  • Education: A successful Security Engineer will have a 4-year degree in computer science or related field of study; or equivalent experience in the field.
