Position Description

Sprezzatura is seeking an individual for the position of Program Manager to support the Office of Automated Benefits Delivery, Strategic Communications and Change Management. The Program Manager will be responsible for leading and managing complex communications programs. This role requires at least seven (7) years of project/program management experience, specifically within complex communications initiatives. The Program Manager will ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget, while maintaining high quality standards. A Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required. Experience in managing agency/enterprise-wide change management and strategic communication engagements is essential.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members. Thes include a detailed Project Management Plan, Configuration Management Plan, Stakeholder Management Plan, Quality Control Plan, and Operational Management Reviews (OMR).
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications. Engage with key stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure their requirements are met. Work with Operation and Growth leadership to determine growth opportunities.
  • Oversee program budgets, ensuring projects are delivered within financial constraints.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Ensure project meets all requirements needed for CMMI Level 3 for Services and ISO 9001.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
  • Develop and deliver executive-level project reports, proposals, and presentations to Government and Sprezzatura leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Project Management, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of overall experience. A minimum of seven (7) years of project/program management experience with complex communications programs.
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.

 

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana).
  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership, team-building, motivational, and critical thinking skills are required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in the Veterans Benefits Administration is preferred.
  • An understanding of CMMI Level 3 for Services and ISO 9001:2015 is preferred.

 

Location

  • Candidate must live in the Washington, DC area. Monthly and quarterly meetings will be held in person at 1800 G Street, NW, Washington, DC.
