Overview of Responsibilities:
The School of Business and Public Administration at the University of the District of Columbia is in search of a Visiting Professor of Business Management for the upcoming academic year. The successful candidate will be tasked with designing, developing, and delivering a variety of management courses.
We are looking for an individual who demonstrates a strong potential for teaching excellence, scholarly contributions, and community service. The candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of our business program, leveraging existing strengths and collaborating with faculty.
The ideal applicant should be a dedicated scholar, passionate about engaging with students and addressing their educational needs in the field of management. We encourage applications from those who are committed to teaching, research, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:1. Develop and instruct undergraduate and graduate courses in management.
2. Conduct research in the field leading to publications in peer-reviewed journals.
3. Assist with grants, special projects, and other academic tasks as needed.
4. Integrate technology into teaching and research methodologies.
5. Engage with diverse academic and professional communities.
A Ph.D./DBA or ABD (must complete by a specified date) in Management or Business Administration from an accredited institution. Candidates must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Additional qualifications in related fields are advantageous.
Demonstrated potential for excellence in research and teaching is essential. Candidates should have a proven ability to publish in reputable journals and meet the standards for Scholarly Academic (S.A.) qualifications under AACSB guidelines.
Additional Information:This position is not part of a collective bargaining unit. Selected candidates will be eligible for health and life insurance, sick leave, and retirement benefits.
