Accounting Manager-Operations Accounting

Global and reputable consumer products company in Los Angeles is looking for a motivated Manager of Operations Accounting. This person will oversee reporting and cost accounting across the global organization. This is a critical position that will develop efficient and effective standardized processes and implement automation to help ensure accuracy and consistency within financial reporting. This role will maintain communication with various stakeholders worldwide to resolve issues and implement best practices.
Hybrid 2 days/week in office | $135-$150k + 10% bonus | Proven Internal Career Growth
Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain global standardized processes related to manufacturing and cost accounting.
• Support/enhance global transfer profit program, identify potential issues, and work with countries to provide resolutions.
• Drive automation projects design, implementation, and testing.
• Analyze manufacturing cost trends including materials, labor and absorbed overhead rates with internal manufacturing facilities and contract manufacturing partners.
• Provide guidance and best practices.
• Develop and maintain monthly regional financial reporting packages related to Gross Profit and Inventory.
• Maintain cost accounting “Best Practice” procedures to help ensure consistent and accurate reporting across the organization.
Skills & Background:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 7+ years professional experience in Accounting with public companies
• 3+ years experience with Inventory and/or Cost Accounting preferred.
• Professional experience within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Experience utilizing leading ERP software, proficiency with Oracle is an advantage.
• Proven accounting experience in conjunction with strong analytical skills.
• Highly motivated with demonstrated initiative to improve on existing processes.
• Excellent working knowledge of Excel, including building of complex financial models.
• Power BI is a plus
