PATH is seeking candidates passionate about helping others make a positive change in their lives to join our Finance Team as the Director of Grant Billing & Reporting at the RHC Office.

Since its foundation in 1984, PATH (People Assisting The Homeless) has pioneered bold and effective approaches to assist people experiencing homelessness. PATH operates services throughout California, connecting our clients to a comprehensive continuum of homelessness prevention, street outreach, employment preparation and placement assistance, individualized case management, supportive services, interim housing, and permanent supportive housing.

ABOUT THE JOB
As part of the Finance Team, the Director of Grant Billing & Reporting performs oversees all grant and contract invoicing, reporting, and related billing compliance..

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of finance analysis personnel, providing active leadership, operational structure, and best practices guidance for fiscal grants management including grant invoicing, budgeting, reporting, fiscal compliance, and funder monitoring.
  • Partner with PATH senior management to set up, implement, manage, and close out grant financial activities in alignment with PATH standards, strategies, and funder contractual requirements
  • Assist with maintaining and improving systems for grants performance reporting and invoicing that are effective and can increase productivity.
  • Meticulously oversee the grant billing and contracts submission schedule and manage a robust logistical system of processing that considers time sensitive deadlines, cash flow needs, and relationships management with funders.
  • Ensure all of PATH's invoicing, financial reporting, and grant billing and reporting processes meet PATH's quality standards and are in alignment with PATH's compliance requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with other PATH departments and funders to ensure resources are appropriately utilized and to negotiate optimal contractual terms and leverages in grant invoicing and reporting.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
To be considered for this position, we require all candidates:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
  • Six (6) years of experience in a finance related field
  • Three (3) years of supervisory experience in a financial management position for a nonprofit organization
  • In lieu of formal education, five (5) years of managerial capacity experience in non-profit finance and accounting working with contracts and grants.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

  • Successfully complete the following as a condition of hire:

    • Drug Test

DRIVING
Driving is an essential function of this position. To meet the employment requirements for this role, all candidates must:

  • Have reliable transportation
  • A valid driver's license
  • Proof of insurance and ownership for personal vehicles used during work duties
  • The ability to qualify for PATH's insurance coverage

FLEXIBLE WORK
