As a part of our commitment to excellence, we are seeking a Senior Grants Accountant to join our finance team. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with the Senior Director of Accounting to manage the financial aspects of our diverse portfolio of grants and contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the fiscal and administrative operations of various grants and contracts, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and guidelines.
  • Reconcile general ledgers for programs and grants, making necessary adjustments to support accurate month-end closing.
  • Maintain adherence to grant and contract agreements while enhancing financial controls and processes.
  • Prepare and submit billing and drawdown schedules in accordance with contractual agreements.
  • Generate and submit financial reports, including FFR reports for federal grants and quarterly updates for the Payment Management System.
  • Conduct Time and Effort reporting and prepare journal entries for salary distribution adjustments.
  • Collaborate with the Grants Team and Program Directors on budget planning, grant proposals, and compliance requirements.
  • Support audits and site visits by preparing necessary documentation and schedules.
  • Contribute to the Grants Protocol Team to refine accounting processes and systems.
  • Conduct audits of grant subcontractors to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Develop and deliver training on fiscal grant reporting and compliance.

Salary Range:
$68,000 - $141,000 Annually

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in fund or not-for-profit accounting, with a proven track record in managing government-funded programs.
  • A minimum of 5 years in a progressively responsible accounting role, preferably in healthcare.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including Pivot Tables and V-Lookups.
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as Sage Intacct or Oracle.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication skills for conveying complex financial information.
  • MBA and/or CPA is preferred.
