Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSUMMARYUnder the supervision of the Executive Director, assists with planning, implementing, supervising, and integrating direct and support services to provide the delivery of a comprehensive program to women and their children who are affected by domestic violence, substance abuse, and homelessness.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:Integrates counseling, casework and other program components to assure that each client receives comprehensive, non-duplicated direct and support services to achieve service plan and/or treatment plan goals.
Monitors client assessments to insure that client issues are identified and handled appropriately to meet individual and family needs.
Promotes community domestic violence education through presentations, trainings and other public relations activities.
Implements programs and maintains positive working relationships with volunteers, law enforcement, hospitals, schools, judicial centers and other community agencies to promote direct and support services to program participants.
Represents OASIS in community and/or interagency activities.
Distributes current information throughout the seven county GRADD area regarding domestic violence, substance abuse, positive child development, the OASIS Program, Domestic Violence Petitions, and other related subjects.
Performs public speaking duties as requested by Director.
Participates in developing and implementing administrative policies and agency procedures to comply with regulations and grant specifications.
Administers personnel and client policies in a fair and consistent manner.
Schedules and supervises group and individual activities to address all phases of the program.
Supervise other coordinators to provide appropriate program material for seven county distribution.
Collaborates with the Executive Director and other coordinators to effectively write grants that support OASIS programs.
Insures that individual and group counseling services for OASIS clients and their children follow ZeroV Victim Service Standards and KY Licensure Requirements for Alcohol and Other Drug Entities.
Supervises the practice and documentation of client intakes, assessments and exits according to OASIS Policies and Procedures.
Participates in case assignments.
Participates in and presides over meetings, trainings, and in-services as assigned.
Participates in on-call rotation as assigned.
Connects non-residential clients to non-residential services prior to OASIS entry, and to follow-up/after-care services following OASIS exit.
Assists clients in establishing a safety plan, identifying goals, and locating resources to achieve goals.
Responds to phone calls.
Provides information, referral, crisis-intervention, and advocacy services for OASIS clients.
Provides specific court advocacy.
Maintains daily contact sheet and documentation as required.
Supervises the compilation of monthly statistics for reporting purposes.
Submits Unit Reports at staff meetings and other reports as required.
Develops and maintains an information and referral system.
Develops and maintains a county resource directory.
Reviews, supervises, and monitors client files for quality, accuracy, and completeness.
Schedules staff, volunteers, and OASIS calendar in coordination with other program units to provide adequate and unduplicated staff availability.Demonstrates strong commitment and leadership in issues of client advocacy.Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATIONMasters Degree in Social Work or related field with 3-5 years’ experience preferred.
Bachelors Degree in Social Work or related field with 5-7 years’ experience required.
Computer data entry skills to include Microsoft Office proficiency.A comprehensive understanding of domestic violence and chemical dependency, at least three years of successful employment in a human service area with demonstrated supervisory skills, as well as the ability to effectively plan and integrate program goals.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSMust hold or be able to obtain a valid Kentucky Driver's License.Must meet certification standards as outlined by the ZeroV as directed by Executive Director.
LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations and legal documents. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Executive Director, clients, fellow employees, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic math and algebra. Ability to understand basic principles of accounting.
