Position Summary:

The Community Engagement Lead will be responsible for executing marketing initiatives in the community and managing the team of Community Engagement Specialists. This position will passionately lead and motivate the team to achieve its goals of helping implement the company’s participation in community events, generating new patient leads, educating the community on oral hygiene, identifying any factors preventing a patient from coming to the dentist, and differentiating Planet Dental from other dental practices to the community.

Primary Responsibilities:

Manage

  • Passionately lead and motivate a team of community engagement specialists (CES)
  • Oversee all participation by CESs in their day-to-day activity and at community events
  • Communicate regularly with the Marketing Manager, reporting on activity and goal performance
  • Track Key Performance Indicators for the team and coach to achieving goals

Engage

  • Generate new patient leads
  • Contact organizations and businesses to schedule meetings and events
  • Engage with people in the local community and at the office to promote the company
  • Innovate new ways of engaging with community and with patients
  • Attend community events to promote the mission, services and brand of the company
  • Create trusting relationships with community members
  • Identify opportunities to WOW patients/parents

Educate

  • Train and educate Community Engagement Specialists
  • Provide education on oral hygiene, preventative services, and all aspects of clinical procedures available at offices
  • Distribute curated dental educational materials to new/existing/previous patients, community members, partner organizations, and businesses
  • Become proficient in aspects of general and pediatric dental services to translate into general terminology for understanding and comprehension by community members
  • Overcome obstacles brought forth by potential patients

Digital Engagement

  • Actively manage social media posts and engagement with staff, patients, doctors and the community
  • Manage social media and Internet reviews and promote in-office social media engagement
  • Develop creative and inspiring content for social/digital posts

Other

  • Work in a flexible environment – in-office, in community, and at events
  • Be able to lift at least 35 lbs. (Reasonable accommodations will be considered)
  • Other duties as assigned

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Knowledge, Skills, & Experience Requirements:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
  • Ability to manage and coach team members
  • Strong communication skills
  • A solid understanding of social/digital media
  • A passion for working with younger children, along with their parents, and making them feel comfortable
  • Committed to continuing and expanding learning to master people engagement
  • Outgoing, sales-oriented and engaging personality
  • Experience with event planning
  • Ability to travel between events, regularly
