About the Role:

As a System Administrator in our Private Cloud environment, you will address routine client hardware and software issues, as well as respond to queries. We seek an energetic problem solver dedicated to achieving excellent outcomes. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, self-motivated individual ready to contribute to our rapidly growing company.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and administer VMware vSAN/vSphere private cloud infrastructure, including deployment, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of system.
  • Monitor vSAN clusters to ensure optimal performance, capacity utilization, and availability.
  • Implement and maintain vSAN storage policies and profiles to meet application requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to vSAN configuration, performance, and connectivity.
  • Collaborate with network administrators and operations to integrate vSAN with existing infrastructure components.
  • Perform routine updates, patches, and upgrades to infrastructure software, compute nodes, and related VMware components.
  • Plan and execute data migrations, expansions, and upgrades within the vSAN environment and public clouds.
  • Conduct regular health checks and performance tuning activities for vSAN clusters and private cloud infrastructure.
  • Coordinate efforts and collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure optimal performance and system availability via Azure DevOps (on-prem).
  • Document system configurations, processes, and procedures for reference and training purposes.
  • Stay informed about industry and data center trends and best practices related to VMware and other virtualization technologies.
  • Other duties may be added or assigned as needed.

Required skills:

  • Strong foundational knowledge of virtualization, networking, and operating systems in a data center environment.
  • Experience with Active Directory administration, and Windows/Linux Server basics.
  • Strong grasp of networking basics: Firewalls, Routing, TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, DHCP, Ethernet, etc.
  • Proficiency in English (B2).
  • Ability to effectively work with IT professionals and stakeholders in a global, distributed environment.
  • Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Technical organization skills with an established record of providing outstanding service.
  • Proactive, problem-solving attitude.
