Job Description

Responsible for soliciting business with present and future clients and for negotiating contracts with clients to sell hotel room blocks and meeting space. Represent the property at industry-related trade and travel shows. Responsible for personnel-related matters for the Sales staff.

Identify and solicit group business for anticipated slow dates and sell banquet/conference facility to groups. 

Communicate with all departments regarding group business. 

Coordinate and handle all groups & track groups in order to generate reports on gaming activity, etc. 

Develop and maintain positive working relationships with local businesses. 

Develop events which will create new business. 

Follow up on all inquiries with direct mail and phone sales. 

Visit qualified customers on sales calls and at trade shows, conferences and conventions.  Represent property at various trade shows.

Qualifications

Must be at least 21 years of age. 

Bachelor’s degree in hotel administration or other related field preferred.
Experience: (amount and type or nature of experience)

Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Sales Manager required.

Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, HIS, and Delphi.

Knowledge of Salesforce/Delphi, LMS, Word, and Excel, 

General knowledge of room reservations, front desk, and catering operations preferred

Must have exceptional interpersonal, customer service, and negotiating skills. 

Strong written and oral communication skills. 

Knowledge of casino industry strongly preferred. 

Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills. 

Must have strong working knowledge of banquet functions, room sets, A/V, and Food and Beverage. 

Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
