About the Role:
Our Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist keeps our financial practices running smoothly by managing cash flow and paying vendors and suppliers. As a skilled financial specialist joining our Accounting team, you will help process, track, and record payments in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. As our AP Specialist, you will have a daily, ongoing impact on financial transactions, keeping us on track and on time.
Requirements:Candidate Responsibilities:
- Perform day-to-day full-cycle accounts payable transactions to ensure accurate and timely payment processing.
- Review invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
- Research any invoice/payment discrepancies, as needed.
- Perform invoice and general-ledger data entry.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders as it relates to payment and system inquiries.
- Review and verify the accuracy of expense report submissions for payroll processing.
- Research and resolve employee inquiries regarding system issues and expense report reimbursements.
- Execute credit card and bank account reconciliation.
- Collaborate closely with the Accounting team to perform additional accounting duties, and support special projects and initiatives.
What you already know and skills you bring:
- 3+ years of accounts payable or relevant accounting experience.
- Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping.
- Experience with accounting software applications, or the aptitude and eagerness to learn new systems and software.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Self-motivated and positive.
- Detail-orientated and initiative-driven, capable of maintaining a high level of independent work.
- Well-organized, capable of adjusting to a changing workload and handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Fast learner, with excellent problem-solving skills.
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience with Intacct, Bill.com, Paylocity Expense
