Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Clerk to join our Property Management team at J&J Management Services LLC. In this role, you will be responsible for processing resident payments and client invoices in a timely and accurate manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and accurately record transactions, maintaining detailed records of payments and account statuses.
  • Send reminders regarding overdue payments and research any account discrepancies, taking appropriate action for resolution.
  • Create accurate and informative reports, collaborating with other departments to gather additional information and develop repayment plans.
  • Communicate with clients regarding payments on their accounts and provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department.
  • Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings, and statements, as well as daily enter key data of financial transactions in the database.
  • Research, track, and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies, informing management and compiling reports/summaries on activity areas.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • Previous experience as an Accounts Payable and Receivable Clerk or in a similar position.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and accounting software, as well as familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and best practices, excellent problem-solving and research skills, and a commitment to accuracy and attention to detail.
