SUMMARY

The Inventory Technician is responsible for receiving and pulling of raw materials and ensuring inventory accuracy. The activities involve, meticulous planning through cross-functional interactions and seamless flow of biomaterials from inventory to lab technicians.

This position will ensure compliance with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies, State Departments of Health, Good Documentation Practices (GDP), Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Clinical Practices (GCP), Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), EMEA and FDA Guidelines, general State and Country Regulations such as but not limited to (CLIA, CAP, USP, ISO 9001, USDA regulations, HTA license, DEA and State Controlled Substance programs) where site appropriate.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Collaborate closely with the Client Services and Planning teams to gain a comprehensive understanding of customer demands, and effectively guarantee the punctual and precise availability of biomaterials and products. Foster and sustain robust partnerships with suppliers to enable seamless communication and collaboration, ensuring a foundation for effective and efficient working relationships.
  • Spearhead initiatives to discern and implement process enhancements, strategically focused on mitigating backorders and elevating the overarching operational efficiency. Engage collaboratively with cross-functional teams to refine workflows and elevate the procurement process to new levels of efficiency.
  • Respond and troubleshoot Fridge/Freezer monitoring system callouts during and after scheduled shift.
  • Assist with quarterly inventory counts.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience

· High school graduate or experience in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other Skills and Abilities

· Proficiency in a variety of computer software programs including MS Office

· Ability to work in a team laboratory environment with knowledge or familiarity with scientific terminology.

· Excellent communication skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to work cross-functionally.

A full-time Monday through Friday workweek with general business hours and flexibility to occasionally work additional hours as needed and approved by management.
