Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Walgreens. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting our pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Pharmacists: Under the supervision of our pharmacists, you will assist in the practice of pharmacy, including tasks such as retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, verifying medicine is correct, and checking for possible interactions.
  • Customer Service: You will engage with customers and patients, providing them with excellent service and answering any questions they may have. You will also model and share customer service best practices with your colleagues to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Operations: You will assist in the operation of the pharmacy, including tasks such as processing prescriptions, handling cash, and maintaining inventory. You will also be responsible for reporting any prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Training and Development: You will be required to earn and maintain PTCB or ExCPT certification through the designated PTCB training program and/or state required certification/registration. You will also be expected to attend training and complete PPLs requested by your manager and acquire continuing education credits.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: You must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. You will also require a willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. A minimum of six months of experience in a retail environment is preferred, as well as prior work experience with Walgreens.
  • Skills and Qualifications: You will require good math skills, good computer skills, and knowledge of store inventory control. PTCB or ExCPT certification is also preferred.
