WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: (Job Duties)

1. Payroll Management:
  • Oversee the end-to-end payroll process for all employees nationwide, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Verify and process timekeeping records, addressing discrepancies as needed.
  • Ensure payroll is compliant with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Manage the processing of unemployment claims, wage garnishments, and other payroll deductions.
  • Prepare, distribute, and file W-2 forms in compliance with IRS guidelines.
  • Handle payroll-related inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate payroll records and reports for auditing and tax purposes.
  • Coordinate with the Finance department to ensure proper payroll funding and reconciliation.
  • Employee eligibility verification.
  • PTO accrual tracking.

2. Benefits Administration:
  • Serve as a key resource for employees by thoroughly understanding and staying updated on the company benefits offerings, including health, retirement and wellness programs.
  • Work with external vendors to manage benefits administration and ensure quality service delivery and bill reconciliation.
  • Administer ongoing LOA/FMLA/STD/LTD/ADA request to include state programs where applicable.
  • Conduct regular audits of benefit plans, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and internal policies.
  • Prepare reports and analyze benefit data to support decision-making and strategic planning.

3. Compliance and Reporting:
  • Ensure payroll practices comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws.
  • Prepare and submit required reports to government agencies and management.
  • Monitor and stay current on changes in payroll legislation, ensuring the organization remains compliant.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR: (Requirements)
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing and benefits administration.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of payroll and benefits laws and regulations (multi-state).
  • In-depth knowledge of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies
  • Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., paylocity) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with applicable federal and state laws, such as ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, ACA and OSHA 300, pertaining to employee benefits.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
