This position is located in Miami, FL


Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll for all employees accurately and on time.
  • Maintain and update employee records related to payroll, including new hires, terminations, changes in pay rates and W-4’s
  • Calculate and process payroll deductions, including taxes, benefits, garnishments, and other withholdings.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax laws.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with HR and accounting departments to ensure accurate payroll processing.
  • Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and distribution.
  • Stay current with changes in payroll laws and regulations and implement necessary updates to payroll processes.
  • Conduct periodic audits of payroll records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Support other accounting and finance-related tasks as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in payroll processing or a related field (preferably in the construction industry)
  • 2+ years of Proven experience in the reporting, reimbursement, and tracking of domestic and international travel expenses.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
  • Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
