Ag/Commercial Loan Assistant

The Opportunity
The Ag/Commercial Loan Assistant will work together with loan staff in the Ag department, assisting them with daily tasks, preparing loan documents, communicating with customers, and organizing/maintaining loan files. A successful candidate will be organized, personable, and be able to assist customers with their banking needs.
Count On To:
- Assist Ag/Commercial loan staff with administrative work such as contacting customers for information, creating reports, data entry, correspondence, etc.
- Communicate effectively and work with customers either in person or by the phone
- Work with loan officers on all new loan documentation
- Answer bank phone line in prompt, friendly manner
- Ensure loan documents are complete and meet regulations
- Board loans to our core banking system
- Build, file, and maintain customer files
- Lead contact with other banks on selling and purchasing of loan documents
- Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Associates degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Thorough understand of customer service
- Learn loan software and have basic knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software
- Trustworthy and act with integrity
