Position Overview: The Business Development & Marketing Specialist plays a vital role in driving growth for our NYSJ practice by expanding our network within the workers' compensation (WC) sector and managing our marketing initiatives. This role is responsible for building relationships with law firms, organizing events, and managing our social media presence to enhance brand visibility and promote our services, including MRI, Physical Therapy, and other specialized offerings. A background in law, particularly as a paralegal, is highly beneficial for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development:
    • Proactively engage with law firms to drive workers' compensation business to the practice.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the legal and medical sectors.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to promote our services.
  • Event Coordination:
    • Plan and execute meetings, Continuing Medical Education (CME) events, and other networking opportunities to increase practice visibility.
    • Coordinate educational sessions to inform potential clients and partners about our practice, MRI services, and Physical Therapy offerings.
  • Marketing & Social Media Management:
    • Develop and manage content for social media platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, Social Climb, and Google My Business (GMB).
    • Create engaging posts that highlight our services, success stories, and events.
    • Monitor social media channels for engagement and respond to inquiries or comments in a timely manner.
  • Educational Outreach:
    • Educate law firms, medical professionals, and the broader community about the benefits of our orthopedic services.
    • Serve as a knowledgeable resource on workers' compensation, ensuring clients and partners understand the process and the advantages of working with our practice.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 3-5 years of experience in business development, marketing, or a related role, preferably within the medical or legal industry.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in social media management tools and platforms.
    • Experience with event planning and coordination.
    • Strong understanding of workers' compensation processes and legal terminology.
  • Communication:
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to present information clearly to both legal and medical professionals.
  • Relationship Management:
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Organizational Skills:
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Transportation:
    • Must have a personal vehicle for transportation to various events and client meetings. Gas and mileage will be reimbursed at the IRS reimbursement rate.
