The Corporate Risk Management Officer for Citigroup Inc. is a pivotal strategic expert who remains informed about advancements in their field and contributes to the overarching strategy by evaluating their relevance to their role and the organization. This position is recognized as a technical authority within the business domain, necessitating a foundational understanding of commercial dynamics. Typically, multiple professionals within the organization possess equivalent levels of subject matter expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Oversee and facilitate various risk and control initiatives across the organization, including the establishment of strategies, methodologies, processes, quality standards, tools, and reporting mechanisms that ensure global risk management consistency and excellence.

+ Implement a quarterly audit framework to verify attribute calculations and maintain control.

+ Collaborate closely with business partners to address findings and propose enhancements to existing practices.

+ Develop and manage procedural implementation and change management processes in conjunction with Operations and Reporting teams to guarantee effective governance and controls.

+ Assess procedures for regulatory compliance and identify gaps that may affect customer experience.

+ Conduct internal evaluations of dispute processes to validate control measures.

+ Monitor deviations from dispute policies and analyze the underlying causes.

+ Utilize data analytics to evaluate impacts on customer experience and regulatory compliance.

+ Operate with a degree of autonomy and limited direct supervision.

+ Demonstrate independent judgment and decision-making capabilities.

+ Serve as a subject matter expert to senior stakeholders and team members.

+ Appropriately evaluate risks in business decisions, with a focus on protecting the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, while exercising sound ethical judgment in all business practices.

Qualifications:

+ 6-10 years of relevant experience in Business Risk and Controls.

+ Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Access, SAS, SQL, and Visual Basic is advantageous. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the financial services sector is preferred.

+ Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both in writing and verbally.

+ Strong organizational and influencing skills are essential.

+ Experience in third-party vendor management is preferred, along with a proven ability to lead global team initiatives.

+ Excellent problem-solving capabilities, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to see the broader picture.

+ Proven track record in developing and executing strategic initiatives and process improvements.

Education:

+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required; a Master’s degree is a plus.
