Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll, maintaining accurate employee records in Workday, and supporting HR with benefits-related tasks. This role requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to work under tight deadlines, and a readiness to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Processing: Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and efficiently. Serve as the primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries, resolving issues promptly.
  • Employee Record Management: Assist with updating and maintaining employee records in Workday, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Data Auditing: Establish and implement procedures to audit employee data in Workday, ensuring consistency and accuracy across the platform.
  • Reconciliation: Prepare monthly reconciliations between payroll records and the General Ledger, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • HR Support: Collaborate with HR on benefits-related issues, including Benefit Enrollments, Leave of Absence management, and Time & Attendance tracking. Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.

Education and Experience:

  • Payroll certification required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a high-growth, fast-paced work environment; experience in FinTech or Pre-IPO companies preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and perform under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to embrace change and recommend improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Key Skills:

  • Proficiency in payroll processing and reconciliation.
  • Experience with Workday or similar HRIS platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with HR and other departments.
  • Adaptability and a continuous improvement mindset.
