Our client, the Domestic Violence Service Center, is currently seeking a full-time Development and Fundraising Coordinator. This is an exempt position.

The Development and Fundraising Coordinator is responsible for procuring funding for the work of the agency by promoting programs and services, and corporate and community relations, discovering funding opportunities, researching new grant opportunities, data collection and research, donor database management, and events planning.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Public Relations:

  • Arrange company visits and presentations for the purpose of community awareness, outreach, and introducing DVSC services to potential corporate donors.
  • Cultivate and maintain media contacts and promote awareness of DVSC through such contacts.

Fundraising/Grant Opportunities:

  • Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with new funding sources (ie; federal, state, local, foundation, corporate, community and individual) while representing the DVSC.
  • Develop and implement short- and long-range fund raising and public relations strategies.
  • Develop budgets, prepare remarks, and organize arrangements for fund-raising events.

Donor Database Management:

  • Implement, manage, and maintain a donor database.
  • Develop and implement donor recognition program and donor newsletter.

Required Experience:

  • BA/BS in public relations, marketing, communications, journalism, non-profit administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in fundraising, public relations, and/or grant work.
  • Successful experience in donor management in a non-profit setting.
  • Excellent communication skills including written and public speaking.
  • Clearances: PA Child Abuse Clearance, PA Criminal History Background Clearance, FBI Criminal Background Check.
