Job Summary

Housing Development Corporation (HDC) is seeking a highly skilled Community Manager to oversee the daily operations of our affordable housing communities. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the financial performance of our properties, supervising on-site personnel, and maintaining a professional leasing attitude.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and correct financial issues to improve community performance
  • Supervise on-site personnel to ensure employee engagement and accountability
  • Prepare vacant apartments for occupancy and verify timely completion of maintenance work
  • Maintain a trauma-informed approach when working with residents
  • Process and track tenant applications, ensuring income and program eligibility
  • Manage rent collections and efforts to meet quarterly goals
  • Coordinate with the Resident Services Team to meet resident needs
  • Ensure timely resolution of resident work order requests
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, along with a valid driver's license
  • Two-year degree or one year of property management experience preferred
  • Experience with affordable housing background preferred
  • Successful completion of drug screening and criminal background check
Work Environment

The Community Manager will work indoors and outdoors, with 25% annual travel required. The position demands moderate physical demands, including lifting up to 25 pounds, continuous standing, bending, walking, and lifting.
