Receptionist Responsibilities

Here’s what you’ll be responsible for as Receptionist at The Chamberlin Group:

  • Greeting Clients:  You’ll welcome guests at the front desk upon arrival, making them feel welcome and getting to know them a little. 
  • Answering Calls and Confirming Appointments:  You’ll be ‘the voice’ on the other end of the phone when clients call our office and help transfer them to the right person to get the help they need. You’ll also call clients to confirm appointments for the next day.
  • Capturing the Details:  You’ll help both our clients and our financial planners by updating our CRM software with client details, documents, signed forms, etc. 
  • Surprise & Delight:  This is where the shopping comes in.  You’ll get to pick out a nice gift to send to our clients as a surprise, based on what you know about their interests.
  • Helping with Special Projects:  You’ll have additional opportunities to work with our administrative assistant team to help with planning and organizing company events, evening classes, movies, etc.

What Success Looks Like for You

You’ll know you are a rock star in this role of Receptionist if:

  • Clients love you, and they would rather talk to you than one of our planners (but don’t tell them that).
  • The phones and front desk are always covered - you communicate well with the rest of the team so that we make sure our clients are always taken care of. 
  • Information you enter in the system is correct and up to date.
  • All appointments are confirmed for the next day, and you know who will be coming in and are ready to greet them
Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, etc.)
  • Strong communication and phone skills
Receptionist Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive pay of $18.00 per hour. After 1 year of service, pay rate is assessed every 6 months for an increase so that we remain competitive with industry benchmarks.
  • Participate in our Stake in the Outcome (SITO) incentive program with a potential individual annual bonus after 1 year of service.
