PRN Receptionist-Mary Queen and Mother Center

Cardinal Ritter Senior Services, one of South County's largest independent, assisted living, skilled nursing and rehabilitation community nonprofit senior living communities, seeks a compassionate and experienced Receptionist to join our growing team on a PRN Basis.

This position functions as the Receptionist for the Mary, Queen and Mother Center. The Receptionist welcomes visitors, vendors, current and prospective residents and their families to Mary, Queen and Mother Center by greeting them in a friendly, courteous manner and giving accurate directions or responses to questions and inquiries.
Available Shifts
- PRN Days (as needed)
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides facility information to residents, family members of residents, visitors and vendors, etc.
- Monitors the coming and going of all residents, preventing possible elopement.
- Receives shipment deliveries and notifies the appropriate staff.
- Distributes payroll checks every other week.
- Accepts resident monthly payments.
- Assists residents when their code-alert warning sets off the door alarm.
- Accepts meal money and orders meals for resident's family members or friends.
- Acts as contact person for money lost in vending machines.
- Manage and balance resident petty cash account according to CRSS standards.
- Sells stamps.
- Sorts and distributes daily mail delivery.
- Keeps the emergency file phone numbers updated.
- Performs miscellaneous typing for medical records such as incident reports in tracking system and completes filing in binders.
- Receives and directs all incoming calls and visitors.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- High School diploma
- At least 1-year office experience
SKILLS & ATTITUDES REQUIRED FOR SUCCESS IN JOB
- Pleasing telephone voice
- Able to work under pressure with interruptions
- Type 30-40 words per minute
- Versatile in assuming varied duties
- Possess good phone etiquette skills
- Personable and able to deal with public in a professional manner
- Possess a high degree of professionalism at all times
RELATIONSHIPS REQUIREMENTS
- Must maintain at least cordial relationships with visitors, residents, family members of residents, vendors, etc.
RESOURCES FOR WHICH ACCOUNTABLE
- Assists residents/families or office personnel when needed.
