POSITION TITLE: Route Settlement Specialist

REPORTS TO: Credit and Collections Manager

SUPERVISES: This individual has no staff

MAJOR WORKING

CONDITIONS: Internal contacts are with CFO and Sales Personnel, Full Service Settlement Specialist, Credit and Collections Manager and Staff, and Director of Accounting and IT. External contacts are with software and hardware representatives.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: To process Route Checkups and Hot Shot tickets.

EXEMPT/NON-EXEMPT: Non-Exempt

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full Time

DEPARTMENT: Finance

DUTIES:

  • Key Route check-ups and Full Service reconciliations, daily.
  • Maintain up-to-date filing system for branch reports.
  • Fill in for Full Service Settlement Specialist when needed.
  • Calculate total checks from incoming mail to be verified by Cash Receipts Specialists.
  • Maintain fuel driver report.
  • Key fuel and truck reports daily; process end-of-month reports.
  • Perform duties as assigned by manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Requires a High school diploma or general education development (GED) diploma
  • Minimum 3 years data processing experience
  • Maintain confidentially in financial matters
  • Ability to sit for at least 6-8 hours/daily
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds at least once a month
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds frequently
  • Ability to process information in proper sequence
  • A good candidate must provide a good work history that demonstrates: dependability, integrity, attention to detail, self-motivated, excellent customer service and takes initiative
  • Ability to pass the company’s background and Motor Vehicle Report and the company’s drug testing requirements
