Position Overview 

The Research Assistant will work closely with the management team independently and collaboratively when relevant, to support research studies, planning and other corporate projects.

She/he will be responsible for assisting in a variety of administrative and non-administrative tasks, including preparing and maintaining datasets, creating graphs and figures for reports, and providing other support in a detailed and highly accurate manner.

 

Under general direction, the Research Assistant will perform duties associated with coordinating, implementing, and balancing multiple research studies and projects as the primary research support staffer. He/she is accountable for delivering established goals, utilizing good judgement, knowledge, and skills, and expertise while maintaining expected quality standards of the project.

 


Key Responsibilities 

  • Ensures study compliance with IRB requirements and with clients' Statement of Work including local and federal laws and regulations.
  • Recruits and screens potential study participants and performs intake assessments to participate in focus groups, panels and other study approved activities.
  • Creates and/or maintains all documents and records related to the study.
  • Acts as a point of reference for study participants and clients by answering questions and keeping them informed on the study progress.
  • Attends meetings, events, and seminars to promote research.
  • Record and distribute minutes from meetings and interviews.
  • Manages the creation of reports on each study, including notes, workload, data collection, etc.
  • Completes summary analysis for findings including charts, graphs, and other illustrations of work.
  • Assists with data analyses and report writing.
  • Prepares presentations for professional conferences or other meetings and events.
  • Provides support for other projects by offering data collection assistance, analysis, and interpretation of summary findings. May also deliver reports to clients.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience
  • Some research experience, preferably in a similar organization
  • Proficiency in database management and related computing skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Experience

Bachelor’s degree in social science, health administration, public health or a related field involving quantitative analysis.

 

Salary and Benefits
