Departmental Context: The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences is a dynamic unit dedicated to advancing the field of pharmacy through research and education. It is recognized for its excellence in research funding and is committed to fostering a supportive atmosphere for faculty development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and sustain a robust, externally funded independent research program.
- Deliver instruction across undergraduate, professional, and graduate programs within the College of Pharmacy.
- Contribute to departmental, college, and university committees through internal service.
- Engage in external service through participation in community, professional, and publishing organizations at various levels.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive learning environment for pre- and post-doctoral trainees.
- Undertake additional duties and contribute to special projects as required.
Qualifications:
- A PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Chemical Biology, Synthetic Biology, Pharmacognosy, or a related field is required.
- Postdoctoral experience relevant to the position is essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
Priority will be given to candidates whose research focuses on natural product drug discovery and integrates aspects of bioinformatics, genetics, plant sciences, microbiology, and synthetic/chemical biology.
