Position Overview:
Loyola University Chicago is inviting applications for the role of Assistant Research Professor, focusing on research initiatives related to drug discovery and development targeting anterior segment ophthalmic conditions. This position will be situated within the laboratory of Dr. Simon Kaja.
Funding and Research Focus:
The role is partially supported by the National Eye Institute, concentrating on the advancement of innovative immunotherapy approaches for dry eye disease.
Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a PhD in biomedical sciences, pharmacology, neuroscience, or a closely related discipline, along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. A proven record of scholarly publications is essential. Experience in vision research, corneal wound healing, and/or high-resolution microscopy is also required.
Minimum Educational and Professional Experience:
PhD in biomedical sciences, pharmacology, neuroscience, or a related field, complemented by at least 5 years of pertinent experience.
