Job Summary
We are looking for an individual with the knowledge, experience, and the ability to own the entire Accounts Payable process.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- None
Duties/Responsibilities
- Assemble, review and verify invoices and check requests.
- Sort, code and match invoices (Using 3-way match).
- Process expense reports.
- Flag and clarify any unusual or questionable invoice items or prices.
- Enter invoices into system.
- Prepare and perform check runs.
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
- Reconcile vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements.
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
- Maintain vendor files.
- Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries.
- Produce weekly and monthly reports.
- Assist with month end closing.
- Provide supporting documentation for audits.
- Maintain confidentiality of organizational information.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Proficient Microsoft Office knowledge and skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Strong analytic abilities.
- Understand expense accounts and cost centers.
- Understands compliance issues around accounts payable processes (W-9, sales tax, etc.).
Preferred Skills/Abilities
- Proficient in NetSuite is a plus.
- Familiar with petty cash process.
Education and Experience
- Associate's degree in Accounting preferred.
- 3-5 years experience with HIGH VOLUME accounts payable.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Required to use hands and reach with arms.
- Frequent speaking is required.
