Job DescriptionJob Description

Family Service Association is seeking to hiring a temporary full time (35 hours per week) Medical Billing Specialist. Hours are Monday - Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  

The Temporary Medical Billing Assistant is directly responsible for researching accounts receivable.

Duties and Responsibilities:.

  • Researching denied claims.
  • Determine if a denial can be rebilled and if so send rebill to appropriate insurance company.
  • Work aged receivables report to identify claims that need to be appealed or written off.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of High School Diploma is required.
  • Strong computer skills required.

**Experience with billing and/or electronic medical records preferred.
