The Family Service Association is looking for a dedicated full-time Accounts Payable Clerk to join our financial team. This role involves a commitment of 40 hours per week, with a schedule from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for the accurate recording and timely payment of all invoices and bills, while fostering positive relationships with colleagues and program leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute weekly accounts payable processes.
  • Verify the accuracy of the edit list.
  • Maintain the 'Monthly Summary Bill Log' for recurring expenses.
  • Submit capital assets and grant vouchers to the supervisor.
  • Cross-check the Payments Due Schedule with the Trial Balance at the beginning of each month.
  • Ensure all W9 forms and Workers Comp certificates are collected from vendors as required.
  • Prepare and review 1099 forms.
  • Conduct bank runs as necessary.
  • Assist with preparations and requests for external audits.
  • Track and record agency credit card transactions and payments.
  • Review and audit mileage reimbursement requests.

Qualifications:

An Associate Degree in Accounting is preferred, along with at least one year of experience in Accounts Payable. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. The ability to work independently and proficiency in computer applications are essential.
