Family Service Association is looking to hire a full-time (40 hours per week) Financial Accounts Specialist. The working hours are Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Role Summary:

The Financial Accounts Specialist is primarily accountable for overseeing Accounts Receivable and Contract Billing, along with other related tasks and responsibilities assigned by the Accounting Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine Carelogic general ledger reports.
  • Document Accounts Receivable transactions.
  • Log all bank deposits and withdrawals.
  • Access Commonwealth of Mass. Online printouts to track direct deposits.
  • Evaluate billing receivable reports against accounting receivable balances.
  • Collaborate with the billing department to resolve receivable discrepancies.
  • Prepare documentation for various internal and external audits.
  • Address reasonable inquiries from the Agency and/or supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree is preferred.
  • Familiarity with accounting principles and practices.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in accounts receivable is preferred.
