About the Opportunity:


We are currently seeking a results-oriented and experienced hunter based in Portland, Oregon. As the Technical Account Manager specializing in Traffic Safety, you will be the primary point of contact for our clients, ensuring their technical needs are met and delivering exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in generating new business opportunities and driving sales within the traffic safety sector.

 

In this role, you will be expected to:


  • Contribute to and execute against a sales plan through all stages: generating demand, cultivating new leads, progressing opportunities, and closing deals;
  • Develop strong relationships with customers / potential customers quickly;
  • Support technical sales discussions through product demonstrations, industry discussions, and use case scoping;
  • Collaborate with internal teams to execute strategic and tactical B2B and Strategic Selling activities, focusing on traffic safety solutions;
  • Represent the product(s) at industry-related tradeshows, conferences, and meetings;
  • Conduct web-based and in-person product demonstrations to generate new leads from both current customers and prospects;
  • Track and coordinate proposal submissions;
  • Meet objectives related to pipeline generation, opportunity management, forecasting in CRM, customer retention, and account management to achieve annual quotas.


About You:


  • 3-5 years of proven experience in transportation focused technical solution selling to governments;
  • Previous experience in the transportation engineering / traffic safety industry;
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation);
  • Strong active listening skills and responsiveness to customers' needs;
  • Demonstrated experience in building strong customer relationships;
  • Technical mindset and analytical thinker;
  • Hunter mentality;
  • Experience with MS Office Suite and CRM systems;
  • Thrives on challenges and exceeds goals;
  • Must be able and willing to travel within the USA and Canada.
