This is a Temp to Hire Position  - Not Remote.

Position Details:

  • Annual Compensation: $25.00  - $28.00
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm

Key Roles and Responsibilities: As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our finance team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts receivable transactions and supporting financial operations.

  • Invoice Processing:
    • Generate and process invoices accurately and promptly.
    • Verify billing data and resolve discrepancies as necessary.
  • Collections Management:
    • Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue accounts.
    • Communicate with customers regarding payment status and resolve billing inquiries.
  • Payment Application:
    • Apply payments to customer accounts accurately and efficiently.
    • Reconcile payments with invoices and resolve discrepancies.
  • Sales Tax Management:
    • Update and maintain current sales tax rates for relevant jurisdictions.
    • Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly sales tax returns accurately and on time.
    • Ensure compliance with state and local tax regulations.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare weekly and monthly accounts receivable reports.
    • Analyze receivables data to identify trends and potential issues.
  • Customer Service:
    • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve customer issues.
    • Maintain positive relationships with clients and internal teams.

Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management (Outlook & Excel).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial records.
  • Knowledge of sales tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Advanced-level math skills, including proficiency in algebra and basic statistics.

  • Prior experience in accounts receivable or related financial roles.
