Position Summary: Are you an experienced financial expert with a focus on the construction sector? BBSI is collaborating with a thriving organization in the construction field to recruit a proactive Accountant. This role offers an opportunity to contribute your financial acumen to a company that prioritizes accuracy, development, and innovation.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Manage Accounts Receivable and Cash Receipts Journals, along with Payroll Journals.
  • Organize and oversee all Balance Sheet accounts.
  • Supervise the Fixed Assets Module within Duke Pacific Inc. Accounting Software.
  • Compile monthly Union Reports and calculate monthly sales tax prepayments.
  • Administer quarterly sales tax returns, costings, and commissions.
  • Execute adjusting journal entries to the General Ledger.
  • Prepare interim financial statements, including projections for year-end.
  • Collaborate with external CPA firms to generate annual financial statements and tax documentation.
  • Provide training and mentorship to accounting personnel.
  • Evaluate insurance renewals to ensure adequate coverage aligns with business requirements.
Candidate Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
  • Solid grasp of financial principles, reporting, and compliance.
  • Prior accounting experience within the construction industry.
  • Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience with construction-oriented accounting software is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel is required.
  • Dependability and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
  • Understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
