Position Summary:

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring the financial integrity of construction projects. Your meticulous approach and expertise will be crucial for accurate financial documentation, adherence to regulations, and fostering effective collaboration within the team.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Accounts Receivable and Cash Receipts Journal.
  • Organize and oversee all Balance Sheet accounts.
  • Supervise the Fixed Assets Module in accounting software.
  • Compile monthly Union Reports and calculate sales tax prepayments.
  • Handle quarterly sales tax returns, costings, and commissions.
  • Make necessary journal entries to the General Ledger.
  • Prepare interim financial statements, including projections for year-end.
  • Collaborate with external CPA firms for annual financial statements and tax filings.
  • Mentor and train accounting personnel.
  • Review insurance renewals to ensure appropriate coverage.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
  • Strong grasp of financial principles, reporting, and compliance.
  • Prior accounting experience in the construction industry.
  • Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience with construction-specific accounting software is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel is required.
  • Dependable and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
