A fast-growing, well established construction equipment dealership is seeking a Territory Sales Representative as well as a Territory Rental Representative to join our team in South Carolina We proudly represent many great brands (sales and rentals) all over the state of Georgia and parts of South Carolina. You will resolve customer questions and offer solutions to drive company revenue. Preferred candidates will live in Hampton, Jasper or Beaufort County South Carolina.

Purpose:

Sells of new and used construction equipment

Responsibilities:

  • Represents the company for the sale or rental of construction machinery to customers in a defined sales area
  • Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment potentially saleable by the dealership
  • Monitors competitive activity/products and timely communicates to management, accordingly
  • Maintains all customer information in assigned territory for sales management
  • Knows and follows a defined sales process
  • Conducts new and used equipment field demonstrations
  • Monitors trends in customer’s business activities and timely communicates to management
  • Maintains current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods
  • Attends applicable sales training events/seminars
  • Maintain current knowledge of used equipment values and ability to evaluate properly for trading purposes
  • Works with other location and company departments to promote all product offerings and services.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years construction equipment sales/rental experience or equivalent
  • Knowledge of construction or operational practices preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Excellent customer relationship skills
  • Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports
  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience

 

Responsibilities:

  • Present and sell company products and services to new and existing customers
  • Prospect and contact potential customers
  • Reach agreed upon sales targets by the deadline
  • Resolve customer inquiries and complaints
  • Set follow-up appointments to keep customers aware of latest developments
  • Create sales material to present to customers

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms
  • Ability to build rapport with clients
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
