Position Overview
The Territory Sales Specialist serves as a vital representative of Advanced Nutrients to their designated retailers. Their expertise in establishing rapport and fostering mutually beneficial partnerships makes them integral to the organization. This role necessitates considerable travel across various locations within their assigned territory to enhance brand visibility and drive sales growth for Advanced Nutrients.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve and surpass designated sales targets within the assigned territory, with regular reviews of progress alongside management.
- Proactively seek out new business opportunities within the gardening, hydroponics, or consumer goods industries.
- Ensure all necessary follow-ups related to onboarding new accounts are completed promptly.
- Address and resolve any outstanding accounts receivable issues with clients.
- Develop business through a strong client-centric approach, maintaining regular in-person visits to all clients during standard business hours, with occasional weekend commitments during peak seasons.
- Demonstrate respect and treat clients as long-term partners, working collaboratively to enhance both parties' business growth.
- Identify and relay potential sales opportunities within the designated region.
- Support the growth of business operations in the assigned area.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of Advanced Nutrients products and effectively apply this knowledge to address customer inquiries.
- Document all activities in the CRM system on a daily basis.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Comprehensive understanding of the market and industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional written, organizational, and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to adapt and quickly establish rapport with clients and consumers.
- Solid understanding of sales processes and dynamics.
- Capable of delivering effective sales presentations.
- Strong active listening skills.
- Comfortable and adaptable in a fast-paced work environment.
- Experience working independently and remotely.
- Self-motivated and focused in a fully remote setting.
- Willingness to embrace change and adapt to new systems and workflows.
- Extensive local travel, potentially exceeding 150 miles daily, with work primarily conducted at client locations.
- Possession of a valid state driver’s license, proof of car insurance, and a reliable vehicle.
- A minimum of 2 years of sales experience.
- At least 2 years of experience utilizing a CRM system is preferred.
- Proficient in using a smartphone.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Compensation: $55,000/year plus commission
