Company Overview: We are a medium to large HVAC mechanical company based in Florida. With a strong reputation for quality work and a commitment to excellence, we are now expanding our services to include a Sheetmetal Division. We are looking for a highly capable and dedicated individual to spearhead this new venture.

 

Position: Sheetmetal Division Lead Location: Tallahassee, Florida

 

Responsibilities: As the Sheetmetal Division Lead, you will have a multifaceted role in our organization. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  1. Estimation: Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for sheet metal and ductwork projects, considering materials, labor, and project timelines.
  2. Team Management: Lead and manage a team of skilled sheet metal workers, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and adherence to safety protocols.
  3. Teaching and Mentoring: Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to junior team members, fostering their growth and development within the industry.
  4. Fabrication: Oversee and participate in sheet metal fabrication processes, ensuring high-quality and precise output.
  5. Installation: Supervise and participate in the installation of sheet metal and ductwork systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

Qualifications: To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  1. Extensive Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in the HVAC sheet metal industry, with a proven track record of successful projects and team leadership.
  2. Technical Expertise: Proficiency in all aspects of sheet metal fabrication, installation, and estimation. Sound knowledge of HVAC systems and industry best practices.
  3. Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively, ensuring projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.
  4. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling you to liaise with clients, vendors, and internal teams confidently.
  5. Problem-Solving: A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
  6. Certifications: Relevant certifications and licenses related to HVAC sheet metal work will be an advantage.
