Our client, a financial institution located in New Mexico, is looking for a Remote Commercial Credit Analyst to join their team.

The selected individual will be responsible for conducting comprehensive credit evaluations and risk assessments for both existing and prospective clients seeking commercial financing.

Key Responsibilities
As a Commercial Credit Analyst, your duties will include:

  • Evaluating financial documents, including statements and tax returns, to assess the fiscal health of applicants.
  • Supporting commercial loan officers in structuring loans, which encompasses covenant packages, reporting obligations, pricing, and advance rates.
  • Assisting in the organization and compilation of loan documentation.
  • Preparing underwriting assessments for new loan applications, renewals, and modifications, which entails an in-depth analysis of financial performance, market conditions, and risk identification.
  • Conducting ratio, trend, and cash flow analyses; developing financial forecasts.
  • Identifying income trends and cash flow sources for businesses.
  • Collaborating with lenders to perform annual evaluations of clients' debt servicing capabilities.
  • Drafting credit presentations that summarize preliminary credit assessments and provide an objective overview of loan proposals.
  • Maintaining the quality of commercial credit files, focusing on collateral, financial metrics, and relevant documentation.
  • Communicating any missing information or concerns to loan officers and facilitating discussions regarding the analysis.

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A foundational knowledge typically gained through an Associate's degree in business administration, finance, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in bank credit analysis.
  • Familiarity with lending regulations and policies at both state and federal levels.
  • Strong analytical and underwriting capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
