Overview:

ADM Group is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager / Strategist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the firm’s growth and expanding its client base, with a primary focus on the K-12 education market alongside other key sectors. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a proven track record in business development.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to achieve the firm’s growth objectives.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to set long-term goals and define key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and potential clients.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
    • Lead client meetings, presentations, and negotiations to secure new projects.
    • Arrange and host client meetings and events to strengthen relationships and enhance client engagement.
  • Industry Engagement and Networking:
    • Attend and set up conferences, networking events, social gatherings, association events, and trade partner events to expand the firm’s presence and build a network of industry contacts.
    • Represent the firm at industry events and leverage industry insights to enhance the firm’s market presence.
  • Team Leadership and Coordination:
    • Supervise and guide the business development team.
    • Ensure alignment and efficient execution of business development tasks and initiatives.
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Market and Opportunity Analysis:
    • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive dynamics.
    • Analyze market trends, client needs, and industry developments to inform strategic decisions.
    • Conduct SWOT analyses to assess the firm’s competitive positioning.
  • Proposal Development and Marketing:
    • Oversee the preparation of proposals, presentations, and marketing materials.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to create targeted marketing campaigns.
    • Ensure consistency and quality in all client-facing materials.
  • Performance Measurement and Reporting:
    • Establish and monitor KPIs to measure the effectiveness of business development strategies.
    • Provide regular reports and insights to the leadership team on progress and performance.
    • Adjust strategies based on performance data and market feedback.
  • Innovation and Growth:
    • Identify and implement innovative business models and growth initiatives.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.
    • Facilitate the continuous improvement of business development processes.
  • Financial Management:
    • Develop and manage the business development budget.
    • Monitor expenditures and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
    • Provide financial forecasts and projections related to business development activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proven experience in business development or sales leadership roles, preferably in the architecture or construction industry.
  • Strong leadership and strategic planning skills, with the ability to drive results and achieve revenue targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in proposal preparation and client relationship management.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong research skills, with the ability to analyze market trends and develop strategies based on insights.

Compensation:

  • The base salary and benefits package for this position will be determined based on the candidate's education, experience, and ability to develop clients within a professional services firm, particularly in the architecture and interior design industry. Additionally, knowledge of Arizona school funding and a strong network within Arizona Schools will be considered.
  • Performance-based bonuses will also be considered annually.
