We are currently seeking a Certified, Structural Engineering EIT for a position in our Houston, TX office. The Structural Engineering EIT will be responsible for efficiently producing structural designs such as foundation and framing plans for residential and commercial structures. This position reports to the Engineering Operations Manager and works closely with professional engineers, clients and drafting personnel.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design of foundation and framing structures for residential and commercial projects.

  • Produce foundation and framing structure plans in Bricscad software

  • Prepare structural design calculations, project coordination and attendance at meetings with clients and/or other consultants, occasional site observations and permit processing through local government agencies as required.


Job Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Bricscad and associated programs.

  • Perform basic design calculations.

  • Work closely with clients, engineers and drafters to obtain project information and ensure drawings are accurate and complete.

  • Work independently and as part of a team with direction from Engineers/Project Managers

  • Strong written and communication skills.

  • Ability to multi-task


Education & Experience:
Structural Engineering Degree from ABET accredited institution.

Certificates & Licenses:

  • Possess EIT (Engineer in Training) certification.
