Position Overview
HDR Engineering is seeking a Substation Structural EIT/Coordinator to become a vital member of our nationally recognized Power Delivery team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in executing technical designs for substation engineering projects, ranging from straightforward device replacements to extensive greenfield designs. This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth for a self-motivated individual eager to learn and embrace new challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers and Engineers in project execution.
- Prepare engineering drawings, calculations, analyses, reports, and designs for electrical substations (Low, Medium, and High Voltage).
- Collaborate with Designers and CAD Technicians to create drawings that comply with national design standards, safety codes, and project specifications.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- EIT/FE certification is strongly preferred; candidates without certification will hold the title of "Coordinator" and are expected to obtain certification for career advancement.
- Preference will be given to candidates from the local area.
- Experience in substation design is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with structural design software such as RISA, MFAD, L-Pile, or equivalent is advantageous.
- Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, RISA, Staad, SAP, Tedds, RAM, ETABS, SAFE, or similar software.
