Position Overview
HDR Engineering is seeking a Substation Structural EIT/Coordinator to contribute to our esteemed Power Delivery team. The selected candidate will play a vital role in executing technical designs for substation engineering projects, ranging from straightforward device replacements to extensive greenfield designs. This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth for a motivated individual eager to expand their knowledge and tackle new challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers and Engineers in various tasks.
- Prepare structural calculations, design sketches, and redline drawings.
- Collaborate with Designers and CAD Technicians to produce drawings that adhere to national design standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- EIT/FE certification is highly desirable; candidates without certification will hold the title of "Coordinator" and are expected to obtain certification for career advancement.
- Local candidates are preferred.
- Experience in substation design is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with structural design software such as RISA, MFAD, L-Pile, or equivalent is advantageous.
- Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, RISA, Staad, SAP, Tedds, RAM, ETABS, SAFE, or similar software.
