Position Overview
HDR Engineering is looking for a Substation Structural EIT/Coordinator to become a vital member of our esteemed Power Delivery team. The ideal candidate will contribute to the technical design of substation engineering projects, which can range from straightforward device replacements to extensive greenfield designs. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual eager to expand their knowledge and embrace new challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers and Engineers in executing project tasks.
- Prepare engineering drawings, calculations, analyses, reports, and designs for electrical substations (Low, Medium, and High Voltage).
- Collaborate with Designers and CAD Technicians to create drawings that comply with national design standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- EIT/FE certification is highly preferred; candidates without certification will hold the title of "Coordinator" and are expected to obtain their EIT/FE certification for career advancement.
- Local candidates are preferred.
- Experience in substation design is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Structural design software such as RISA, MFAD, L-Pile, or equivalent is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, RISA, Staad, SAP, Tedds, RAM, ETABS, SAFE, or similar software.
