Position SummaryWe are seeking a full-time Accounting Manager to support the CFO with the company’s general accounting and reporting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of US GAAP and proficient computer skills including a thorough understanding of Sage and Microsoft office products. The successful candidate must be detail-oriented and analytical, have the ability to manage multiple tasks, set and meet deadlines, have strong verbal and written communication skills and be a team player. 

Role and Responsibilities·         Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce accurate financial reports·         Assist in the preparation of month end reviewed financial statements.
  • Manage local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Perform detailed general ledger balance sheet reconciliations and verify the accuracy of data entries.
  • Responsible for Accounting functions including but not limited to cost analysis and payables.
  • Engage in weekly team meetings to discuss cash requirements and any unresolved vendor issues.
  • Assist with Accounts payable functions including vouchering invoices, entering invoices, preparing check runs and researching unpaid invoices. 
  • Assist the CFO/Controller by collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline businesses processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Maintain adherence to internal controls and accounting best practices.
  • Provide support during external and internal audits.
  • Stay updated on accounting principles, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Ensures that all corporate and required accounting policies, internal controls and procedures are defined, documented, and followed. 
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.   
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
  • 3+ years’ experience in an accounting role. Supervisory experience is a plus.
  • ERP Systems experience understanding and knowledge, Sage experience would be ideal. 
  • Able to demonstrate a working knowledge of GAAP. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word. Excel)
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment.
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
  • Ability to respond to email queries quickly and effectively. 
  • Ability to analyze workload and prioritize tasks and assignments according to importance.
