Green Meadows Partners is assisting a nationally recognized, industry leading, West Knoxville based infrastructure contractor with adding an experienced Project Accountant to their growing team This position is a permanent role and will be in office, Monday-Friday 8am to 5pm. Duties include but not limited to:

  • Apply accounting standards and procedures for routine and complex transactions.
  • Manage the daily operations of specific accounting functions and may oversee a team within a section.
  • Prepare and reconcile payroll, process vendor and contractor invoices, and assist with client invoicing.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations and manage equipment rental accounting and back charges.
  • Identify discrepancies in invoices or reports, interfacing with various departments and stakeholders to resolve them.
  • Recommend cost-effective approaches to achieve accounting tasks and objectives.
  • Prepare specialized reports and undertake projects and additional tasks as directed

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in understanding and analyzing technical documents, financial reports, and legal contracts.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts and data analysis techniques.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the capability to present information effectively to various levels of management
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in construction accounting or a similar field, with a thorough understanding of construction accounting, auditing, payroll, and invoicing processes
