Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Machinist to join our Turning Department on the 1st shift. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC lathes to produce high-quality components for aerospace applications. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a passion for machining and a desire to excel in a growing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate CNC lathes to machine precision parts according to specifications and blueprints.
  • Set up and adjust machines, including selecting the appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials.
  • Inspect parts using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers) to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot issues, and make necessary adjustments to maintain production efficiency.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machining processes and productivity.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in machining preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience operating CNC lathes, preferably in an aerospace or precision manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Strong understanding of machining principles, tools, and materials.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed to meet production demands.
